The Guitar Festival is held every July in Hermoupolis, Syros and includes:

Concerts

Every night concerts and recitals in various venues of the city.

Master class

Classes for advanced students (level> middle class) or graduates of conservatories.
The number of active participants in each master class is limited and will be a priority.
(You can apply for up to 2 master classes with a preference of a teacher)

Junior class

Special courses for beginners or intermediate students

Guitar Competition

International competition open to all guitarists, irrespective of nationality. .
In 4 categories, depending on the age of the participants.

Guitar Orchestra

Workshop highlighting the benefits and joy of joining a musical ensemble.

A workshop that highlights the benefit and fun of ensemble playing.
A unique opportunity to create music all together, which no one as individual can possibly play. 
Our goal is preparing pieces for the final concert of the festival.

Guitar study can be a very lonely and sometimes boring journey.

Participating in an ensemble provides many benefits:

• learn musical style interpretation, phrasing, dynamics and tonal balance
• improve listening and rhythmic skills as well as score reading and aural awareness
• develop collaboration through discussion and work out together technical challenges.

Both educational and entertaining, the rehearsals will create a positive experience.

The performance group is open to all festival participants.

The registration fee to the 32nd Guitar Festival is 80 Euro.
It gives the right to participate as active player to all festival activities
(master classes, junior classes competition and orchestra).

Competition

The participation fee to the competition is included to registration.
Those participating in the A, B or C category should send letter confirming their age
(photocopy of identity, passport or birth certificate).

Accomodation

Participants will have to take care for their own accommodation.

Other rules

For student participation in the festival under 17 not accompanied requires written authorization of parents.
In case of cancellation of participation on the part of the applicant the right to participate not refundable.
