The love of the students of the Municipal Conservatory of Veria, for the guitar, music and arts, the conductor Peter Rista’s search for music that goes beyond the limits of imagination and the grafting with the tone colour from other musical instruments such as the flute, the clarinet, the violin, the cello and the mandolin, has created the Artguitaristas orchestra.
They have participated in concerts hosted by the Municipal Conservatory of Veria, in the 3rd, 4th and 5th Panhellinic guitar orchestra meetings which were hosted in March 2013, 2014 and 2015 in the town of Kozani, by the Municipal Conservatory of Kozani, in the Panhellinic guitar orchestra meeting hosted by the Municipal Conservatory of Veria.
They have collaborated in the guitar orchestra of the 1st International summer music Academy of the Municipal Conservatories hosted by the town of Volos in 2012, as well as the 2nd International summer music Academy hosted once more by the town of Volos in 2013, where they closed the program of the Academy with a big concert.
In the summer of 2014 they participated in the 3rd summer Academy hosted by the town of Kavala. In the spring of 2015 they participated in the two day guitar festival which was hosted by the Municipal Conservatory of Veria with other guitar orchestras. In the summer of 2015 they participated in the 3rd guitar festival in the town of Karditsa, at Lake Plastira, and received praising comments for their concert, featuring film music. In the winter of the same year, they participated in the guitar orchestra meeting that was hosted by the Municipal Conservatory of the town of Larisa and the 4th International guitar festival in the town of Volos.
In April of the same year, they participated in a guitar orchestra meeting hosted by the Municipal Conservatory of Veria.
In the summer of 2016 they participated in the 4th guitar festival in the town of Karditsa, at Lake Plastira. In spring 2016and 2017 they participated in the 1st and 2nd Macedonian festival hosted by the town of Kastoria and the 7th Panhellinic meeting of guitar orchestras and guitar ensembles hosted by the Municipal Conservatory of the town of Veria.
In the summer of 2017 and 2018 they participated in the 5th and 6th guitar festival of Karditsa, at Lake Plastira. In November 2017 they participated in the 2nd guitar festival hosted by the town of Corfu, as well as the 4th Peloponnesian guitar festival hosted by the town of Nafplio, in March 2019. In the summer of 2019 they participated in the 7th guitar festival hosted by the town of Karditsa, at Lake Plastira.
Their repertoire includes works by Astor Piazzolla, Ol. Bensa, Nino Rota, R. Aubry, Manos Hatzidakis, Petros Ristas, Goran Bregovic and other composers.
