Duo Capriccioso,
Kleopatra Kyrtata (flute) and Athanasia Nikolakopoulou (guitar) have been playing together since 2008 as “Duo Capriccioso”.
With the beautiful combination of their instruments they perform an ever growing repertoire: baroque and classical pieces, French composers of the 20th century, contemporary composers of Latin America, popular Greek songs, as well as musical storytelling. They have performed in Naxos, Mykonos, Andros, “Psiri Street Festival”, “Aetopoulio Cultural Center” of the Municipality of Halandri, Athens Technopolis, IANOS, Athenaeum International Cultural Center and more.

Kleopatra Kyrtata, flute
Kleopatra Kyrtata was born in Athens in 1988. She received her Diploma in flute with top grades (“Excellent”) from the Hellenic Conservatory in June 2011, as a student of Janina Misiak-Batko. She has participated in seminars and master classes given by distinguished European flutists (Paul-Edmund Davies, Susan Milan, Sarah Newbold, Liisa Ruoho, Rachel Brown, etc.). She participates in concerts and events as a member of small chamber music ensembles. Moreover, she has accompanied theatrical performances for children. Kleopatra Kyrtata is a graduate of Philology from the University of Athens and has a Master in Classics from University College London. She works at the Aikaterini Laskaridis Foundation.

Athanasia Nikolakopoulou, guitar
Athanasia Nikolakopoulou was born in Cholargos in 1987. She received her Diploma in Classical Guitar with top grades (“Excellent”) from the Thucydides Music School in 2014, as a student of Stelios Moustos, while in 2007 she received her Degree in Harmony from the Hellenic Conservatory, as a student of Kostis Porfiris, also with top grades. She is also a graduate of Philology from the University of Athens. She has achieved 3rd Praise in 2013 and 3rd Prize in 2008 in the Filonas Panhellenic Music Contest. She has also distinguished herself in the Student Contest of Arts with her performance in guitar, earning Praise in 2004 and winning 3rd Prize in 2005. She has participated in International Guitar Festivals, where she has attended master classes given by distinguished soloists on classical guitar (Susanna Prieto, Marcin Dylla, Ricardo Gallén, Thanos Mitsalas etc.). She has taken classes in music education for children with instructors Despina Matthaiopoulou and Thomas Kindinis. She teaches classical guitar in Thucydides Music School.
