An international competition open to all guitarists.
It is held in 4 categories, depending on the age of the participants.
The winners will be awarded honorary diplomas and prizes (guitars, book vouchers, etc.) offered by music publishing houses.
Categories and program
A category (< 12 years)
up to 12 years old (born after July 1st, 2013).
ONE ROUND – Two or more pieces but the total time not to exceed 7 minutes.
B Category (12 – 15 years)
from 12 – 15 years old (born between July 1st 2013 and July 1st 2010).
ONE ROUND – Two or more pieces but the total time not to exceed 12 minutes.
C Category (15 – 18 years)
from 15 – 18 years old (born between July 1st 2010 and July 1st 2007).
ONE ROUND – Two or more pieces but the total time not to exceed 15 minutes.
D Category
With no age limit.
ONE ROUND – A free choice program not to exceed 25 minutes.
Competition Rules
- The candidate’s proposed program must be submitted by June 15, 2025.
- Changes in the program after the submission deadline of applications will not be accepted.
- Each contestant can participate in only one category.
- The order of appearance is determined after a draw shortly before the start of each category.
- The Festival reserves the exclusive rights to photograph and film the phases of the competition without any further obligation to the contestants.
- The contestants assume their own travel and accommodation expenses.
- Participation in the competition requires full acceptance of all the above terms.
- The enrolment fee is not refundable.
JURY
The main criteria for judging will be the artist’s musical personality in a varied repertoire, the individuality and charisma as well the stage presence.
The Jury, whose decision is final, will be comprised of known music and guitar personalities.
The Jury will be allowed to interrupt the performance at any time.
The jury reserves the right not to present certain prizes if it deems the level to be insufficient and the judge’s individual scores will be confidential.
Members of the Jury who have ongoing teaching relationships with competitors must declare it and will abstain from judging them.
