Konstantinos Maragos

Born in Piraeus, in 1974, Konstantinos Maragos obtained his Degree in Classical Guitar (Grade “Excellent”) at the Athens Contemporary Conservatory under Iakovos Kolanian. He studied Advanced Music Theory at the Piraeus Conservatory under Spyros Raftopoulos where he received his Diploma in Music Harmony (Grade “Excellent”).

Maragos attended guitar seminars with D. Grimes, O. Giulia, V. Mikulka, L. Phelut and more, as well as seminars with conductor N. Chatzinikos. Additionally, he took piano lessons with Anastasia Chrysanthou – Terezaki.

He participated in the 34th, 35th and 36th Guitar Festival at Chateau de Ligoure in France under E. Kotzia, T. Walker, G. Abiton etc and, as a member of musical ensembles (guitar trio, piano-guitar), he performed in many music festivals around Greece.

He has taught classical guitar at the Music School of Kastela in Piraeus and at the “Agios Pavlos” Greek-French School in Patisia. Since 2009, he has been teaching classical guitar at the Keratsini Municipality music departments. Students of his have got distinctions in various festivals.

Konstantinos Maragos also studied economics at the Department of Accounting and Finance of the Piraeus University of Applied Sciences.
